You are gonna want to scroll down the whole way on this one. Kelsey Rae Designs, Plum and Oak Photo and Louise Letters are pretty much the best to work with. When I get a request for a weird, colorful, massive bouquet and flower crown that fits the Palm Spring vibe, I get extremely happy. It is a little freighting how happy and excited I get.
Alison + Matt // Leo Carrillo Ranch Fiesta Folk Wedding
Is time flying by for anyone else too? I cannot believe it is already February!
Can I just express how much I loved working on this wedding for a moment? I mean, a fiesta-folk inspired wedding complete with a mariachi band is kind of great. And by kind-of I mean really insanely awesome! Alison was an absolute dream both on her wedding day and leading up to it. Getting to work with Samantha Louise Moments, Personal Touch Dining and Aaron Willcox Photography at Leo Carrillo is always a delight. Alison probably thought I was going to think she was crazy for wanting her flower in pineapples and Mexican food cans but I could not be more thrilled about it. Fresh pina coladas may or may not have also happened that weekend... But that cake though with those two pinatas, I am just so in love with it.
2015
Goodness me, 2015 was pretty freaking awesome. Like really, really awesome.
Here at The Dainty Lion we officially switched to just be a floral and design co. at the beginning of 2015. That's right no more coordinating for us! It was time to focus on what we do best and that is make pretty and rad. We worked with some of the most amazing couples walking this earth and had the opportunity to let our floral imaginations run wild. These photos only scratch the surface of what 2015 had in store for us but we just had to share some. 2016 is going to be just as amazing. We are learning and growing with each experience and are even getting fancy software so we can take TDL to the next level. I am so excited and cannot wait to show off for all of our amazing couples this year!! Cheers to the new year!!
Chloe + Evan // Martin Johnson House
Chloe is one of the most peaceful and graceful people I have ever met. It is no surprise her and Evan's wedding exuded the same feeling. The soft, subdued tones perfectly complimented what is probably one of the best venues in all of San Diego. I mean, come on a cliff in La Jolla overlooking the Pacific. Of course a little pop of coral here and there is usually necessary. ;) Thank you to John Newsome for capturing this amazing wedding.

Bride in the City with Elle Bridal Boutique
Let's just say I was pretty darn stoked when Couture Events and Elle Bridal Boutique asked me to be one of the florists to represent the San Diego flower scene at their Bride in the City event at The W Hotel San Diego. Thank you to Garrett Richardson Photography for capturing all the goodness.
Aaaaand a few more via iPhone because more flower photos are always a good idea.
Whispering Willows Shoot
LOVE WINS!!
It was so great to be a part of this photoshoot. When Renata of Amazonas Photography asked me to be involved to help bring her concept to life I said yes without hesitation. Love is a natural feeling and we wanted to showcase love in its organic state. Therefore we kept the color palette simple and used materials with a raw feel to them. And can we talk about those two custom gowns from Archive Bridal?! INSANE.
